Assistance to the Execution of Lacustrine Works, Termozulia II Combined Cycle
The objective of this study was to select one or several options for the adduction and discharge of the cooling water system of the condensers (CWS) that were considered feasible under environmental and financial aspects.
The activities carried out were related to the diffusion and dispersion of the thermal plume from the Termozulia II discharge and its interaction with the rest of the plants. These phenomena were analyzed using hydrodynamic mathematical models.
Two models were selected for the simulation of sewage discharge, the Cormix for the Near Field and the SMS with its RMA4 / RMA2 modules, for the far field.
